In my sessions, I help people develop the necessary skills needed to maintain healthy, satisfying relationships. We often focus on how to develop and maintain boundaries, communicate effectively, and work through relational conflicts.
At times, it may be necessary to discuss leaving an abusive relationship or minimizing contact with someone who repeatedly violates your boundaries. Just because someone is family, it does not give them a free pass to treat you poorly. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is to create distance in the relationship.
